Lauren and Michael both enjoyed 4+ years in Athens at Ohio University, likely crossing paths countless times on campus and several drinks deep at their favorite bars, but never quite meeting each other. That time came in Columbus in the Summer of 2020 when Michael decided on one fateful Sunday to download the dating app Hinge. Within a few hours, he received a message responding to a picture of him in an OU hoodie saying "What is your favorite bar in Athens?" The sender of that message? Lauren of course. They hit it off messaging back and forth about their times in Athens, eventually leading to them scheduling a date. On July 21st, 2020, they went to a "cute bar" that Lauren suggested near her apartment, Antiques On High. Needless to say, there was chemistry immediately and shortly thereafter, "the app that's meant to be deleted" was deleted.

Over the past 4+ years they have grown in their relationship and enjoyed many memorable trips together around the country, gotten closer with each other's families and been sure to return to Antiques On High every July 21st. In May of 2023, they moved in together into a condo in Grandview with their two pets, Wesley (cat) and Spruce (dog), who have become best buds (sometimes, kinda). The patio of that condo turned into the place they would eventually get engaged less than a year later on April 12th, 2024 when Michael popped the question on a windy Friday evening. A routine monthly date night turned into the best night of their lives; tears were shed, pictures were taken, wine was drank and the wedding planning process began!

They couldn't be more excited to be getting married a year and half later in front of all of their family and friends! Cheers to forever! <3
